My wife and I visited Gangtok on a customised trip with SOTC who booked us in Sterling Gangtok Orange Village. Our flight to Bagdogra from Kolkata was delayed by 2.5 hours and we reached the hotel around 8.30 pm tired and hungry. The moment we reached the reception we were welcomed with the good news that we have been upgraded to a cottage room. We were impressed by the warmth with which we were received by the lady at the reception desk and were escorted to our cottage which was really beautiful with a view of the valleys.
The restaurant was wonderful…..not only the ambience but the personalised touch of Abhijit Chatterjee and Rebika Rai as well as others. They took personal care of our needs.
Our good feelings of the hotel did not end there. Rohit, the General Manager, was very cordial, polite and spent a lot of time talking to us. In general, we had no opportunity to point fingers at anything. If ever we return to Gangtok we’ll surely book ourselves at this hotel. The property is luxurious and has been made even more luxurious by not only the 3 individuals I named but by all members of the team.
