Went to Ooty with parents and children. it was not a planned visit, got the room booked in the last minute. I travel from a nearby place (250km), so choose to go by car. suggestion to reach the hotel – is to relay on google maps once you reach Ooty. There are shortcuts suggested by google, which are slightly risker to take in a car. Once your route is fixed from the city, its easy enough to reach. The hotel has ample parking.
The location was just amazing, we were welcomed with greenery and flowers all around.
The check-in was slightly delayed, i should have uploaded the documents earlier in the link provided! But the staff was courteous enough, and made it as easy as possible…
The hotel is a maze, and locating your room, in case you are in a different block, is a bit of a challenge. It was fun for me, and my kid, but my old parents struggled initially… not much of an issue… but still depends on who you are traveling with.
Rooms were very clean, very spacious, and well appointed. The balcony view was many photo worthy. room service offered was also excellent.
We had all 3 meals at the restaurant, food was tasty. Only point to note, be early for breakfast, or be ready for a few mins waiting period. This may only be true during vacation period.
The location was near to other places we wanted to visit, but do not miss exploring the facility. First day we came-in and went out within an hour, the second day we explored the facility and it was really good… we covered all the locales spend good 2-3 hours before check-out! including a horse ride, which was available in the hotel, no much rush and was not pricey. There is an indoor play area for kids, which has enough to keep a kid occupied for 1-2 hours. well designed and thought-out indeed.
A highly recommended place, definitely worth a return…
