We had an absolutely perfect stay at Sterling Puri (January 2023).
First, being among the first members of Sterling Holidays (1995) and a purple member of Club Mahindra, it was my delight to see Sterling compete hard and win with properties like Puri. The prime seafront location of this resort and its abundant size show that Sterling is building on its original glory and strengths.
The resort also shows further promise as a work in process. The activities zone is being upgraded and there is scope to activate an entire wing of rooms. While the resort does not promote this asset, it is actually located right on the sea, with an undisturbed view of majestic waves.
The real magic behind this amazing place is in its team. It is ably led by the GM Mr. Shitanshu Bhargava, who takes minute interest and care in seeing guests happy. He personally took our feedback with keen interest to make our stay perfect and memorable. However, his biggest success is in the cheerfulness and pride to serve that was evident in his entire team.
The restaurant team deserves a special mention. Mr. Safat and Mr. Rahim lead a team that seeks out every opportunity to serve and even customize to our tastes. Particularity outstanding are Ms. Lizarani and Ms. Lopamudra. And I must mention the front desk, which was delightfully fast and unbureaucratic, with helpful people like Ms. Amina. Unlike Club Mahindra, nobody here pushed us to give five stars, and thus proved their genuine desire to delight.
I will be sure to visit Sterling Puri again. I wish the team the very best, and thank them for making our stay absolutely wonderful.
