My parents chose to go to Kodaikanal as it had been on their bucket list. As both a Senior Citizens (79 & 83), I decided to join them from Singapore.
What a grand time we had at Sterling Kodai Lake!
Venkat at Front Office was gentle and patient, yet very professional. 5 stars for him.
The housekeeping HOD had personally allocated a quiet, private suite (124) for us, and Madisami, our Housekeeping Personnel made each day cheery with his lovely smile. He made every effort to make our rooms clean & comfortable with amenities as desired by us. 5 stars for him.
Then came the Activities Supervisor Sharan. I think he’s a Management Intern there, but he was as wonderful as any full timer. Responsible, helpful, caring, personable – he made sure that we looked forward to going for the activities at the resort, even reminding us of bonfire timings. When there was no buggy driver available, Sharan ensured my Senior Citizen parents had minimum wait by driving them up himself. 5 stars for him.
There is a tall personnel who drives the buggy around. Always smiling, helpful and well groomed. “Shall we go?” Without his help to take them on a buggy, my parents would be exhausted climbing the steep slope back. 5 stars for him.
Hariharan is the Restaurant Manager. Gentle, quiet and always amiable. If the soup was getting prepared and my parents were sat at the dining room table, he’d always place a plate of salad in front of them. I liked his sense of humour too. 5 stars to him.
The Head Chef personally came out, asked my parents what they’d like and then cooked the meal himself for them.
Vivek too was so friendly and helpful with information.
I could go on and on.
The bottomline – They made us feel like stars. We felt they were stars.
Thank you Team Kodai Lake for making our holiday so unforgettable.
