Sterling Puri sits by the Bay of Bengal where the river meets the bay. They have a sprawling campus with a grand entrance. They have a swimming pool and an entrance to the beach. There’s a kids discovery center where kids can play some air hockey, table tennis and other games. They have a small souvenir shop next to the front desk manned by two artists including Sanjay who showed us the art form of Odisha called pattachitra. They setup a class for my kids. Kids had a lot of fun doing pattachitra on palm leaf.
Satya, the manager, was courteous and very helpful even before we came here. He explained the location and things to do and we had a smooth checkin.
Anita from the front desk helped us with local tour planning and gave us ideas. She also helped with local must visit spots in puri.
The resort has a restaurant utkala which served authentic odisha food along with a continental breakfast.
Laxmi Priya and Lopamudra took care of us and kids whenever we went to the restaurant. They were always smiling and cheerful.
Our driver who took us around puri and to konark and chilika lake was a very quiet person who offered ideas when asked only. Driver very well and was always cheerful.
We stayed at the heritage suite and our room was clean and well set up. It had a sofa bed for the kids and a separate master bed for us. A clean well furnished bathroom with western toilet and a kitchen bar. The two AC units were new and kept the room at a great temperature.
Overall we had a wonderful time at the resort and highly encourage families to visit
