We went as a group of 35 on an office off-site retreat. We narrowed down on Sterling Yercaud for its scenic views and also the good weather at this time of the year and we did not regret it one bit. To mention that we had a fabulous time would be an understatement!
The property is beautifully planned and set up with several steps from the top (reception level) till the rooms which can be quite exhausting if you are climbing up and down a few times. There are, however, a couple of lifts (which are transparent and again come with excellent views of the Yercaud ghat road and Salem town) which can help.
There were several stars of the show, starting from the Resort GM- Mr. Suresh! Moorthy (Front Office), Venki (F&B) and his Restaurant team, Sujesh (engineering, who helped with the Conference Hall arrangements), the housekeeping team were all brilliant! They were extremely accommodative of all our requirements.
The Holiday Activities manager Midhun was a superstar and was integral to our highly positive experience at this property. He was an instant hit with our entire group. The treasure hunt was beautifully organized by him, and the bonfire and games on the roof top was also a lot of fun! A shout out to Pratap (also from Holiday Activities) as well, who was extremely courteous and helpful.
As an icing on the cake, we also did an off-roading adventure (ask at Holiday Activities/ Discovery Central) which is absolutely not to be missed and takes you to some of the less seen/ unspoilt viewpoints and experiences in and around Yercaud.
The warmth and attention you get at this property is unparalleled. And the views are the absolute best! Beats many other mainstream tourist viewpoints you have all over Yercaud.
