We wanted to enjoy the Darjeeling winters but also avoid the crowd typical during this time of the year. The sterling property at Ghum is just appropriate for that. Situated about a km from the ghum station this property is located at one of the highest points in Ghum right next to the old monastery. Although the climb is very steep especially the last leg, once you reach…. it’s a total bliss!!!
We stayed in one of their 1bhk apartments overlooking the valley. It had all the amenities which included a pantry with a fridge, microwave and a sink. Sufficient crockery and cutlery for 4 people. All the rooms were heated with 24 hr hot water supply. The rooms were very neat and clean.
We got to see the Kanchanjuga peak on our second day as the sky was very clear. There is a view point within the property. The icing on the cake was experiencing snowfall there on our third day of stay!!!!
Must complement the housekeeping department for ensuring all the guest needs even in this freezing cold weather.
Also my thanks and complements to the room service team for their prompt response and helpful attitude even during the snowfall and ensuring that guest needs were met all the time.
