I had a memorable stay in Sterling Hotels in Guruyayur. Entire Hotel is made of authentic Burma Wood carvings and Rose Wood artistic carvings furniture. Seating Chairs, Tables, Pillars, Paintings, Staircases, Suites…each is a mastercraft. Their is also an arrangement of cradle for infants of guests who come to visit the famous Guruyayur temple. Chairs / Washbasins for small childre indicates how much minute attention Mr. Joseph the owner of this Hotel has taken. Paintings of Lord Krishna – Radha/ Lord Ganesh ji, Greek events in Rose Wood , the majestic Big dining table engraved with designs to display the food…each item a master. Also their are wooden showcase which displays cutlery items viz cups, saucers, spoons of different countries like China, Europe, Burma which Mr. Joseph had visited. He kept it here for display so that guests can see them. Salute to Mr. Joseph the owner who has built this amazing masterpiece. Lastly the food is amazing, authentic South Indian food, North Indian food or even the breakfast of Idli/ vada/ Poland.
