If you seek to stay at a quiet place in but which also offers the best views there is, then it is the definitely Sterling, Karwar that wins hands down. The swaying coconut trees, the majestic Kali river merging into the Arabian sea and the gorgeous green hills offer the best views ever. The restaurant at Sterling offers great food. Our stay was made even more comfortable by Ajay from the restaurant who took care of our every need. In fact every person from the hotel’s staff was so cooperative and welcoming that we felt at home. The property is just next to the highway and parking is ample. Karwar city is just 5-10 mins drive while the beach is even closer than that. Hotel Rooms are huge and the bed is very comfy. Washrooms are equally huge. Furniture looks a bit old and may be needs to be upgraded. Rooms service is spot on and there was nothing to complain about. If I have to stay again at Karwar, i would most definitely choose Sterling again.
