An excellent resort in Kodaikanal with some amazing views of the Lake and wonderful staff – creating a true family holiday experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for best in the class and value for money stay, especially with family and accompanying kids.
My experience started right from reaching Kodaikanal and coordinating for reaching hotel. The check-in experience by the front office staff was superb. Nihad helped us with the formalities and even upgraded the room given our family size and length of stay, which was a sweet surprise.
The room (1BR) given to us was very spacious, neat, and had pleasing interiors and amazing lake view. There are golf carts to commute within the resort as it’s a huge property. Pandian has been super helpful in assisting us with the cart on all the 5 days of our stay.
The restaurant was one of the best I’ve been to. The food themes and the variety spread was really good. The main chef, Raja Ramaswamy was accommodative to provide custom dishes for us.
The outdoor and indoor play areas for adults and kids was a nice addition to the experience. We were able to engage kids with the activities. Sharan and Nagaraj were helpful in ensuring our kids had a good time.
There are family games and activities on each night we stayed. Shiva and his team did an excellent job in organizing these and making sure the guest families are enjoying their time.
It was really nice and interesting to see how even small details have been meticulously planned and taken care of – to ensure a seamless and memorable holiday experience. Was impressed in all aspects – property, room setup and amenities, food, travel desk, staff behaviour and courtesy, activities for kids and adults. Every staff member you come across wishes you with a smile and is ready to help and coordinate for your needs. Really liked everyone’s attitude and helping nature.
Overall, this has been the best holiday for us – thanks to Prateesh (General Manager) and his wonderful team he has at Sterling Kodai Lake
