Date of stay : 29.12.21 to 31.12.21. This hotel is located about 4 klms away from the noisy city centre and mall road. The property is neither very small nor huge as some of the other older properties. Ample car parking is available.
The views from here are just fantastic.
The snow peaks are visible from most of the rooms. We were allotted only members Guest-rooms as the resort was fully booked . The rooms were very well-decored and cozy with all the modern facilities including central – heating systems. The only regret being there was no balcony. The food is very delicious and they offered us lovely deals which worked out quite well ( otherwise the buffet rates are little on higher side ) A-La-Carte is also available at reasonable prices and the portions are very good. Being a STERLING MEMBER, since more than 25 years, I have seen their ups and downs closely. Its good that the venture was taken-over by such a big and reputed company as THOMAS COOKS INDIA, else it was almost on the brink of sinking. After their take-over , all the resorts were thoroughly renovated( I keep visiting often) and also new resorts were added. Now , you can be sure of quality and standard while booking any of STERLING PROPERTIES , unless ofcourse its just that odd chance out.
They have a lift so easily can opt for upper floors. Some small eateries and wine shops are situated just outside the hotel. Cabs are available on non-fixed prices to go upto Mall road and city centre. A travel desk is also available for various sightseeing points. The staff is well-mannered and ready to help.
Mr. Surendra here is a sweet gentleman and quite adept. Sterling as always, is fantastic.
