My trip to Ooty was from 19 February to the evening of 22 February 2023. When I arrived at Sterling Fern Hill, there were many people at the reception counter, both for the check in and check out process. I was temporarily allotted the cottage like building, which is some distance away from the main building. I requested for a room with a good view of the senic surroundings, at the main building itself. The front office staff (Ajith, Praveen, Nanmita, Rohith) and executive Anita were very helpful and I was allotted a good room with a view despite there being a number of people whose needs had to be catered to.
While all the staff were polite, helpful and courteous, the other staff whose names come to mind are Kavitha and Sheela the Gardener. Very special mention has to be made of Mr Rakesh Gouniyal, who was in charge during my stay there and who made my stay at Sterling Fern Hill a very pleasant and comfortable one.
I have no hesitation in recommending Sterling Fern Hill for a wonderful break at Ooty. The overall experience has been good. One can also check out the Campus for the beautiful and exotic flowers and also take part in the Activity Center (including shooting and archery).
