Far from the hustle and bustle of the hill city Kalimpong, on Rinkingpong Road, Kalimpong Park hotel is the ideal place to spend a leisurely vacation. The top floor left side rooms are simply the best, though the heritage room built by the erstwhile Maharaja of Dinajpur is in the ground floor. We preferred climbing the stairs and stay at the top floor. It is like an isolated island hill top. In the evening the far way hill station Kurseong looked like a big ship having thousand of lights sailing through the sea of clouds. Sunrise from the big windows is simply breathtaking. Rooms are cozy, bathroom is big and the adjoining verandah is awesome. Dinner was served their. Though menu is fixed, quality and taste of food is great. They also cooked delicious khichdi for the youngest member of our group with a special quality of flavored rice grown in the farm of the director of the hotel. We will never forget this touch of wormth. I must say, the best heritage hotel in Kalimpong is kept at the hands of in best quality management. I recommend the hotel for you all.
