A Wonderful Resort

We first stayed in this resort, along with friends in August 2022. We liked it so much that we again stayed there with visiting family in Jan 2023.
The resort is located on a prime spot, overlooking the estuary of the Kali River. It is at one end of the bridge across the Kali River, on the West Coast National Highway, from down South to Goa and Maharashtra. The view of the Kali estuary, islands, and the sea, from the resort’s upper floor rooms is beautiful.
The resort has spacious grounds, swimming pool and indoor games facilities.
The resort staff led by the General manager, Mr Rajesh Ramaswamy, are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is good.
The resort is only 28 km from Palolem Beach in south Goa. Agonda Beach is 9 km from Palolem. We made an enjoyable day trip from Sterling Karwar to Agonda, where we had lunch, and Palolem, where we had tea and relaxed on the beach side.
Karwar has a good beach. Another attraction is the INS Chapal, Warship Museum. It is very interesting to go inside this decommissioned Indian Naval missile boat. A retired naval crew member explains the features of the warship to those interested.
A Rock Garden along the beach front, is worth visiting for its sculptures of tribal people in their natural settings.
All these attractions are within 2 km from the resort, and can be reached by taxi, auto, city bus, or even by walk. In fact, we walked across the Kali River Bridge, one evening, to reach the resort. The breeze and sea view from the bridge as one walks on its footpaths, is wonderful.
