This resort just 9 kms away from Sultan Bathery on Mysuru-Kozhicode Road is a new Sterling Resort in the lap of nature. Holidaying in this resort situated inside the Wayanad Forest, Near Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary is a great way to spend some quality time amidst Nature, and if you are holidaying in the monsoon, it is a treat in itself.
Spent three days at this resort from 19-22 July. The staff is very courteous and energetic, as almost 60% are young people just out of their colleges, but nevertheless dedicated to their profession. The service is great.
The apartments are designed in such a way that they are on different gradients, having a good view of the swimming pool for some of them and for the artificial pond created at the lowest point in the property for others. The layout of the apartments is very utility based. The interior designs of the bathroom are also minutely taken care of reflecting the natural flora and fauna of the forest.
The location of the resort is such that, if one steps out of gates of the resort, the forest is on the other side of the road, neatly fenced by electricity fencing, but one can see most of the times deer grazing along the length of the road inside the forest. One can also come across elephants passing thro the walkway between two parts of the forest cutting across the road in the early morning and late evenings.
The landscape of the resort is very immaculately maintained and the trees around the resort house many small birds, especially sparrows. They are even running a cause for saving the sparrow under which you can buy kits with which you can make small granaries and hang them in the balcony of your apartment or on the terraces and feed them.
The chef at the restaurant took very special care as we ordered food without onion and garlic and each small request was taken care of very well.
The front office people were also very helpful. They even accommodated us in the very same apartment for which I had no booking for third day, as when I booked I had to take the booking for the last day in a guest room instead of 1BR apartment for which I had booking for first 2 days.
The resort provides electric buggies for reaching apartments on the higher gradient and are a little farther from the entrance and reception area, but are nearer to Restaurant and Swimming Pool.
The activities center was also abuzz with so many indoor activities available.
The continuous rain for three days was really enjoyable with lots of flowers blooming in the landscapes around the apartments.
