I stayed at Sterling Wayanad with my parents during December. I touched by the extent that the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome whether it be the kitchen or the activity room.
As for things to do around the area, I recommend Bamboo Rafting- it’s a unique experience. Make sure to leave early as there are a limited amount of tickets. The safari at Muthunga is a few kms from the resort. Again make sure to leave early so you can spot animals. We didn’t see much on our morning safari at Muthunga but saw sloth bear when we drove around a different place at night.
I don’t recommend going to the Banasura Sagar dam- it’s way too crowded and feels like any generic carnival. Besides that for food, we mainly ate at the resort and a restaurant called the Wilton. All in all a great trip 🙂
