Rock Perch is beautifully located at Yercaud and is a four and a half hour drive from Bengaluru . While the height is about 4700 feet the view from Rock Perch especially at night of the lit up Salem City is awesome . The 1 BHK rooms are very nice with a living cum dining room downstairs with the bedroom upstairs – we were given two apartments side by side which was a very nice gesture from the Sterling management . Having been a Sterling member for 20+ years it was nice to see the care the staff took for us whether organizing a car for me to pick up my daughter from Salem or taking my younger daughter on a trek early morning though there was no one else for the trek . A special word for Guna who took her on the coffee trail and she was really excited to have done it . My daughters used the Spa and both of them had a good time and the rates were pretty reasonable . Regarding the cons why I could not give Rock Perch an Excellent rating is that the dining room was really chaotic during breakfast time with hardly any place to visit and kids hollering away to glory .However Tapas at the restaurant however made a fantastic job of taking care of us in the midst of the pandemonium A small suggestion to the Sterling management here would be that for the Sterling members whether a separate area can be earmarked for dining or at least for breakfast . Also Rock Perch is definitely not suitable for senior citizens or people with knee problems as it has quite steep steps from the restaurant to the apartments . Otherwise I would say that given it was a full week end it is one of the best managed Sterling Resorts that we have stayed at
